Post and Courier lays off 23 from across newspaper staff

According to an announcement on The Post and Courier's Web site, the company has cut "23 positions throughout the building, including seven that were unfilled."

MUSC looking to cut costs
Following cost-cutting trends both local and nationwide, MUSC is looking for ways to reduce costs due to the economic slowdown. One way mentioned would be to reduce staffing in less-busy areas of the hospital.
