In just a few short months it'll be 2013 but before the relief of a new year and lease on life we all have to get through the holidays and like most some extra cash might do you well.
Stores around the country have already started their seasonal hiring and along the Grand Strand it's no different. WMBF News reports that some stores will start hiring in the next few weeks but others, "like Best Buy and Wal-Mart say they've already been hiring the added help for weeks."
Additionally, according to Palmetto Workforce Connections, Kohl's department store is planning on hiring, "50,000 seasonal workers nationwide – or 41 associates in each store – during the upcoming holiday season. Likewise, Walmart expects to bring on roughly 50,000 seasonal employees during the next few months."
Head on over to WMBF News for their write-up and broadcast for more details on local hiring, including the holiday shopping impact on our local economy. Palmetto Workforce Connections and AARP have some tips on getting hired as a seasonal, part-time holiday worker.
